ACiD Integrity is seeking a NACE CP Certified Senior Engineer with familiarity with the design, operation and installation of cathodic protection systems.
ACiD Integrity Inc. is western Canada’s people-focused cathodic protection, AC mitigation, stray current and corrosion engineering firm. Our teams have been providing turnkey services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, marine and public transportation agencies.
We specialize in cathodic protection, and our corrosion control expertise includes designing, constructing, and testing services. We are highly skilled in pipeline Integrity and ECDA studies. Our extensive background covers pipeline systems, airports, marine, water and wastewater treatment, industrial plants, oil and natural gas, above-grade storage tank (AST) terminals, bridges, pillings, berths, underground storage tanks, reinforced concrete structures, and many other specialty applications.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform engineering duties supporting cathodic protection and AC mitigation projects Review cathodic protection data, discuss objectives and expectations, and suggest appropriate engineering methods and procedures.
- Work with other engineers to develop detailed CP designs
- Utilize basic engineering principles and corrosion theory to execute projects or complete various aspects on projects Conduct field tests (e.g. structure potential, soil resistivity, current requirements, stray current monitoring, etc.)
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables to render meaningful actions to the client
- Prepare CP designs, specifying anode type, quantity, and location; rectifier location, test station locations and other design features on prepared drawings
- Prepare survey and design reports
- Coordinate engineering aspects of the installation process
- Provide troubleshooting and consultation to technicians for operation and commissioning of complicated cathodic protection systems
- Conduct commissioning surveys Prepare final client reports including recommendations Conduct interference testing and coordinate remediation with the client and affected third-parties
- Participate in sales activities as needed Manage a crew as needed Prepare proposals and cost estimates
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering - NACE Cathodic Protection Certification 8 years of corrosion experience including independent designing, field testing, cathodic protection surveys and field installation Must to able to travel to client sites Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal skills with ability to take initiative and function independently and have strong team and internal customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
